If you're looking for beautiful handmade solid wood shelves, you've come to the right place. Our stunning shelves will add unique character and rustic charm to any home. Our shelves are available in 13 wax finishes or plain (unwaxed to paint, stain, varnish as you wish), they are made from reclaimed and recycled scaffolding boards. We choose the best quality boards available and restore them to make unique strong solid wood shelves.

How we make your shelf. Firstly we cut the board to size then carefully sand by hand to achieve a smooth finish but ensuring we keep the natural beauty of the wood. The edges will also be hand sanded to give a rustic look. After sanding is complete we apply a minimum of two coats of the highest quality beeswax, it protects the wood from water and dirt whilst enhancing the pattern and grain of the wood, leaving a lovely silk-matt finish.

Our wax sample photos are an indication only as the final colour depends on the shade of the board prior to waxing. We strive to achieve as close a match as possible but may be slightly lighter/darker depending on the individual piece of wood and it's grain. The shelves are natural products and come with their own unique characteristics so may have knots, bows, cracks, holes etc. All adding to the rustic charm.

Every shelf is handmade to order. If the length you require is not listed please message us as we can cut to any length to ensure your shelf is perfect for you. This beautiful handmade shelf comes with wax coated black metal Up Brackets made from heavy duty 40mm x 6mm steel. All of our shelves over 120cm in length will come with 3 brackets.
